  • Don Debarras Concert – Denali Arts Council

    The Denali Arts Council presents the musical group Bon Débarras at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Wednesday, March 11th. This Montreal Trio fuses folk music from Quebec, traditional step-dancing, and global influences for a show that is fun and full of energy. Doors open at 6:30pm and the music starts at 7pm.   • Krew Fewd 2 – Live Game Show Fundraiser & Art Auction – Talkeenta Skatepark Committee

    Sheldon Community Arts Hangar

    The Talkeenta Skatepark Committee presents Krew Fewd 2 a Live Game Show Fundraiser and Art Auction on Thursday, March 12th at 6pm at the Sheldon Arts Hangar. Attendees are able to bid on skateboards designed by local artists and watch the Family-Feud style game show play out live. Donations are appreciated, all proceeds will go towards building the Talkeetna Skatepark.

    The Denali Arts Council is showing the film The Last King at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Friday, March 13th.  This free R-rated movie takes place in 1204 in Norway, where a couple of ski champions try to protect a royal baby. Costumes are encouraged. Doors at 7:30, Film starts at 8pm.

  • Scholarship opportunity – Sunshine Community Health Center

    Sunshine Community Health Center (SCHC) Student Scholarship Program supports high school seniors pursuing degrees or certificates in health care, behavioral health, and social services by awarding scholarships of up to $2,500. These scholarships recognize students who have demonstrated leadership, community involvement, and a dedication to wellness, helping to build a stronger health workforce in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley and beyond.
