Mat-Su College hosts Organic Gardening: Build Your Soil’s Mineral Bank. This is an in-person organic gardening class that meets at Mat-Su College in the Snodgrass Hall (SGH) Building, first floor in Room 117. Soils in the Mat-Su Valley typically lack some essential minerals, so crops are bitter or get sick. Avoid nutrient deficiency by learning which organic fertilizers to choose, and how much to apply. Discover secrets to raising chemical-free, nutrient-packed foods in the region through the thoughtful use of organic fertilizers. This 90-minute course will meet for 1 day only from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Class cost is $25. The instructor presents the material via a slideshow and with hands-on demonstrations.
