The Talkeetna Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is on Thursdays with the following activities:

• Storytime for ages up to 7 begins at 11am with a snack, stories, and a craft. The topic this week is aerodynamics and birds with Miss Pamala, and the craft is painting little birdhouses. Parents are reminded that it will be messy.
• Lunch on the Lawn for all ages up to 18 is at 12pm.
• Weekly food backpacks from the Upper Susitna Food Pantry are distributed to children at 12:45pm. Additional backpacks are available at the front counter until Saturday, or until supplies run out.
• The Summer Reading Program for all ages begins at 1pm. This week, the project is dissecting owl pellets, this should be fun and educational.
