Summer Reading Program – Talkeetna Public Library
The Talkeetna Public Library hosts the Summer Reading Program weekly on Thursdays at 11am. At noon, all ages are welcome to have lunch together- on the lawn. Lunch on the Lawn is a weekly part of the Summer Reading Program and is provided by the Upper Susitna Food Pantry for children and adults. In addition, the weekly backpacks with breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for children 18 and under will be distributed. If you are unable to attend, backpacks will be available until Saturday, or until the supplies run out. For more information, you may call the Talkeetna Library at 907-861-7645.

May 28: Field Day and Planting
June 4: Alaska Wild Bird Rehabilitation and Education Centers bringing a kestrel and a barn owl. Owl pellet dissection will be after lunchtime.
June 11: Be Ready for an Exciting Surprise Program
June 18:Mystery Adventure Day
June 25: Run Away with the Spectacular Green Light Circus
July 2: Red, White, and Yum: Patriotic Cookie Dash
July 9: Create a wonderful mosaic masterpiece for the Library!
July 16: Stay Tuned for a Fun Surprise
July 24: Goats Visit the Library
July 31: Firefighter Olympics: Ready, Set, Rescue
August 6: End of the Summer Celebration BBQ & Geri’s Retirement Party at Noon
