StarDate Susitna 10-4-26, by Kathleen Fleming
There are a number of interesting astronomical events coming up, mostly having to do with the Moon's social schedule.
There are a number of interesting astronomical events coming up, mostly having to do with the Moon's social schedule. StarDate Susitna is part of the Susitna Writers Voice program.

The below star chart is for the Susitna Valley, 6 AM the morning of Wednesday the 7th. The Moon, heading eastward along the ecliptic, passed/will pass over (occult) Mars Sunday night ADT, then Jupiter Tuesday morning, and Regulus Tuesday night. Unfortunately, none of these occultations occur at a time when the objects are above our horizon. Notice Saturn in the west before dawn. It is at opposition and available to admire all night long. Highest elevation (best view in optical aids) is around 2 AM. All stargazers should be familiar with the Great Square of Pegasus, above-east of Saturn.
