In this episode we entertain the itch to get outside and play.
There have been three Talkeetna Community Council committees that have specific outdoor recreation project goals: Playground, Skatepark and now the Paddle & Racket committee. We heard from members of each one to learn about how parks get built, what’s involved in the process and find out how both the Skatepark and the Paddle & Racket folks are progressing on their yet-to-be-built projects. In-studio guests were Caitlin Palmer and Hannah Daltorio of Talkeetna Skatepark and Brian Robison, Outdoor Recreation Specialist with the Mat Su Borough. Audio contributions were from Karey Larson and Laura Calliet of Wild Woods Playground and Aubrey Smith of the Paddle & Racket Committee.
