In this episode host and producer Trisha Costello is joined in the studio by current and former KTNA General Managers to recognize World Radio Day and not only discuss how the station is funded but the purpose it serves in the community.
In the second half of the episode the discussion is all about the annual Decadent Dessert Auction, a fundraiser that happens the week around Valentine’s Day. Many local bakers are inspired by KTNA’s work and mission and they show their love by creating masterful desserts to be auctioned off. This show includes many audio clips of local bakers discussing their desserts and what inspired them to bake for radio. Proceeds not only benefit the station, but also the Upper Susitna Valley Food Pantry.
