KTNA maintains an online announcement and classified page to help keep our listeners informed. Announcements are mainly for nonprofits. Classifieds are for nonprofits as well as individual needs. The KTNA Community Calendar includes all announcements plus additional community events happening at local businesses.
There are three ways you can submit Announcements, Classifieds and events for the Community Calendar: through our online form, via email at info@ktna.org or by calling 907-733-1700.
Coming up on KTNA
Galactic Tunes is live tomorrow. Local show host Jen Pironis wakes you up with lively music every other Saturday from 10-11am.
Tune in for the next Six Minute Science the guest is Nancy Fresco, a researcher with the International Arctic Research Center at the University Alaska Fairbanks. She discusses how the changing Alaskan climate may not protect against bark beetle outbreaks in the future. Six Minute Science is produced by KTNA’s Jenny Willoughby and airs Saturdays at about 6:25 after Ag Matters and again Tuesdays at 12:30pm after the midday news.
The next Susitna Writer’s Voice features Erica Watson, a writer living in Denali, Alaska. Erica discusses and reads excerpts from her new collection of essays, Ghost of Distant Trees. Susitna Writer’s Voice airs Sunday following the 6pm announcements and Monday at 12:30pm after the midday news.
Each weekday KTNA produces an Iditarod Report featuring local veteran mushers. The guests speak with KTNA’s Phillip Manning about this year’s race and the latest from the trail. The Iditarod Report airs during the evening news all week, only on KTNA.

Spaghetti Dinner – Upper Susitna Seniors
Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center 16463 E. Helena Ave. / Mile 98.5 Parks Hwy., Sunshine, AlaskaThe Upper Susitna Seniors are hosting a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser at the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center on Friday, March 20th beginning at 6pm. All are welcome to purchase a dinner of spaghetti, salad and garlic bread. There will also be a silent auction. All proceeds go towards the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center and helping to cover the cost of a new septic system for the building. For more information you may call (907)733-6200.

Community Assistance Program (CAP) Grant Cycle – Talkeetna Community Council
The Talkeetna Community Council (TCCI) Community Assistance Program (CAP) Grant Cycle is open through Sunday, March 15th. Grant applications can be submitted through the TCCI website at talkeetnacouncil.org/cap. If you have any questions or are a resident in the Talkeetna Council area and interested in serving on the CAP Committee, email cap@talkeetnacouncil.org.

seeking storytellers for Arctic Entries
Sheldon Community Arts HangarDenali Arts Council is seeking storytellers for the upcoming Arctic Entries on Saturday, April 4th. The theme is Potholes and Promises, Stories of bumps in the road, where they lead and how you kept going. The stories need to be true, written in the first person and seven minutes long.
