KTNA maintains an online announcement and classified page to help keep our listeners informed. Announcements are mainly for nonprofits. Classifieds are for nonprofits as well as individual needs. The KTNA Community Calendar includes all announcements plus additional community events happening at local businesses.

There are three ways you can submit Announcements, Classifieds and events for the Community Calendar: through our online form, via email at info@ktna.org or by calling 907-733-1700.

Coming up on KTNA

This week on Su Valley Voice we’re heading to the Copa Denali! Guest Host Phillip Manning is joined by fellow show members to discuss what it takes to put on the annual Dudes & Divas performance at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Su Valley Voice aired live at 10am, rebroadcasting at 7 tonight, only on KTNA. 

We’re taking a trip down memory lane! KTNA is hosting a casual community gathering featuring a screening of the KTNA Millennium Concert from April 22, 2000. This footage was recently digitized, and we are excited to bring it back to the community 26 years after the original performance. We’ll be celebrating with a potluck, you are welcome to bring something to share… or just bring yourself! That’s from 7 to 9pm on Saturday, April 25th at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. We look forward to sharing this blast from the past with you all!

    Governor Candidate Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins will be in Talkeetna to meet the community this Thursday, April 23rd from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at the Flying Squirrel Bakery Cafe. All are welcome to attend, ask questions and share your thoughts.

    The Friends of the Talkeetna Library are hosting two more computer classes this spring. On Friday, April 24th there is a class covering A.I. Basics. And on Friday, May 8th, there is a class on Scam Busters. Each computer class is from 1 to 3pm at the Talkeetna Public Library.   • Bingo – Upper Susitna Seniors

    Bingo – Upper Susitna Seniors

  • National Library Week – Talkeetna Library

    Talkeetna Public Library Talkeetna

    The Talkeetna Library is celebrating National Library Week with a variety of activities each day. Everyone is invited to “Find Your Joy" at the Talkeetna Public Library and join in the activities. Look for library staff handing out random surprises.   • Upper Susitna Soil and Water Conservation District revival meeting

    Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center 16463 E. Helena Ave. / Mile 98.5 Parks Hwy., Sunshine, Alaska

    Upper Susitna Soil and Water Conservation District is having a meeting on Saturday, April 25th from 2 to 5 pm at the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center. The district is being revived to resume its role in the community with initiatives in salmon and wildlife habitat stewardship, trails, AK agriculture and local food production, invasive species and providing public information.   • Dudes and Divas – Denali Arts Council

    Dudes and Divas, Copa Goes Country – Denali Arts Council
    Sheldon Community Arts Hangar

    The Denali Arts Council's Dudes and Divas present the musical experience Copa Denali, Friday and Saturday, May 1st and 2nd at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Watch local performers singing classic country favorites. Audience members are encouraged to dress for the theme. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7pm.     Sheldon Community Arts Hangar

    Denali Arts Council is hiring an Administrative Manager. Full-time, must have strong organizational, office, and Excel skills, and enjoy teamwork and event coordination.     KTNA is hiring! We are currently looking for a full-time News Producer and part-time Development Coordinator. The News Producer writes local stories and oversees the work of staff and volunteer reporters.
