A Flood Advisory is in effect. Area rivers are forecast to remain in their banks.

From Sunday morning through Monday, nearly two inches of rain fell in Talkeetna.  While rivers are rising as a result of the late precipitation. The forecast, as of Monday afternoon, does not call for any flooding of the Talkeetna, Chulitna, Yentna, or Susitna Rivers.  Most of the creeks are expected to stay in their banks as well, if the rain lets up on Tuesday as forecast.

The area is under a flood advisory until Tuesday afternoon, however.  If the rain does continue, then the risk of a flood will rise.  The National Weather Service and KTNA will continue provide updates.
