The Talkeetna Bachelor Society is accepting applications from non-profit and community programs that will be a benefit to women and children in the Talkeetna area. Backcountry & Ice Travel Safety Presentation
Upper Susitna Community and Senior CenterThe Susitna River Coalition is working in partnership with Alaska Safe Riders to host a Backcountry & Ice Travel Safety Presentation on Tuesday, December 9th at 6pm at the Upper Susitna Senior Center. This is an educational presentation on safe travel in backcountry and ice conditions for snowmachines. The session will include information on recognizing signs of weak or unsafe ice, recommended safety equipment, and response steps in the event of a breakthrough.
