The Talkeetna Public Library hosts the Summer Reading Program weekly on Thursdays at 11am.  This week's program is Mystery Adventure Day. At noon, all ages are welcome to have lunch together- on the lawn. Weekly backpacks with breakfasts, lunches, and snacks will be available for pick up for anyone aged 18 and under. If you are unable to pick up your lunch on Thursday between noon and 1, please let the library know and they can hold them for you. Denali Arts Council presents the 2026 Jazz Workshop at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Rocco John Iacovone will instruct a two-week jazz workshop open to musicians of all experience levels. Participants who read music and those who play by ear alike will develop skills in listening, improvisation, collaboration, and ensemble performance. Workshop sessions begin June 18th at 5:00pm and conclude with a public performance on Thursday, July 2nd at 7:00 pm. The Trapper Creek Community Council meets the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:30pm at the Trapper Creek Community Center. The next meeting is June 18th. All are welcome to attend.
