The Talkeetna Public Library hosts the Summer Reading Program weekly on Thursdays at 11am.  The week’s Summer Reading Program features the Solstice Search and Rescue dogs with trainers DeeDee Jonrowe and Vikkie Gross. This program begins at 11am and will be followed by Lunch on the Lawn and a Father’s Day card craft to do at the library or take home. Denali Arts Council presents the 2026 Jazz Workshop at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Rocco John Iacovone will instruct a two-week jazz workshop open to musicians of all experience levels. Participants who read music and those who play by ear alike will develop skills in listening, improvisation, collaboration, and ensemble performance. Workshop sessions begin June 18th at 5:00pm and conclude with a public performance on Thursday, July 2nd at 7:00 pm. The Trapper Creek Community Council meets the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6:30pm at the Trapper Creek Community Center. The next meeting is June 18th. All are welcome to attend.
