Follow the link in the announcement on knta.org to access student registration. | 2 events, The Willow Area Community Organization (WACO) holds their monthly meeting at the Willow Community Center on the first Wednesday of every month at 7pm. The next meeting is July 2nd. All are welcome. More information at waco-ak.org. The Talkeetna Skatepark Committee is meeting on July 2nd at 7pm at Denali Education Center. This will be a working meeting to reach out to sponsors, create a fundraising thermometer to display the progress at the park, and brainstorm ways to raise funds for the skatepark. This includes Trapper Creek, Talkeetna and Willow libraries. The Willow Area Community Organization (WACO) hosts Willow's 4th of July Parade and Celebration this Friday. The parade starts at the First Baptist Church at noon and travels to the Willow Community Center. Rocco's Jazz Workshop attendees present their final performance with special musical guests, Joel Mosier and Steve Durr. Additionally, led by Denise Iacovone, painters from the Making the Audible Visible workshop will be on stage painting during the performance. Doors open at 6:30pm and the music starts at 7. |

A burn permit suspension means no burning of burn barrels, debris piles, or lawn burns. Campfires smaller than 3ft in diameter for the purpose of warming, cooking, or signaling are still allowed. Adequate clearance away from combustibles and attendance until cold to the touch are still required for campfires. This year, the circus is traveling through TIME. Expect gravity-defying acts, daring stunts, and time-bending surprises as local kids tumble through the ages. | 1 event, - The Talkeetna Historical Society hosts their closing event Salmon Run Art Auction at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Sunday, July 27th from 3 to 6pm. Visitors can view all salmon in person that are in the online auction and enjoy some snacks. There will be 4 late-run salmon auctioned off live at the event. Online bidding is open through July 27th at 5 pm. Help will be available at the event to participate in the online auction. Proceeds benefit the Talkeetna Museum.
