Denali Arts Council is offering an ice carving workshop with Professional Ice Sculptor, Tommy Salami. on Sunday, February 8th. In the workshop you will carve a 10lb block of ice into a masterpiece that you get to take home. Ice and tools will be provided. This workshop will be held outside at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar, so dress warmly. There are 2 sessions to choose between: 11am-1pm and 2-4 pm. The Denali Nordic Ski Club hosts the annual Poker Ski, a 7.5ish mile ski from the Flying Squirrel Bakery and Cafe to Denali BrewPub, downtown.  This ski begins at 12pm from the Flying Squirrel and is fun for all ages. 

The VFW in Talkeetna is hosting a Super Bowl party this Sunday, February 8th. Doors open at 1pm, kick off is at 2:30pm. There will be wings and door prizes; attendees may bring something to add to the Snack Stadium.
