  • Live at Five

    Live at Five
    Talkeetna Village Park

    The Denali Arts Council and the Talkeetna Chamber of Commerce host Live at Five, an annual Summer Concert series. The weekly concerts are family-friendly and are every Friday from 5-7 pm at the Talkeetna Village Park. The concerts feature bands from Alaska and the lower 48. This week the band is H3. This Alaskan band plays Hawaii Reggae music. More information including the full concert line-up is available at denaliartscouncil.org

  • Community Yard Sale Fundraiser – Talkeetna Skatepark

    A community yard sale will be held at the Talkeetna Gear Shop on Saturday, June 27th. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Talkeetna Skatepark. Donated items of all types can be brought to the Gear Shop through June 26th. The Gear Shop is open from 10am to 6pm every day, and is located across from K2 Aviation, on Second Street in Talkeetna.

  • Fly or Die Flotilla

    Christiansen Lake Park

    Fly or Die Flotilla is a music festival featuring several Talkeetna-based bands including the Talkeetna Hawks, Grand Ole Ospreys, Denali Cooks and DJ 2-Stroke. Visiting jazz musician Rocco Joan Iacovone will also preform. The event is Saturday, June 27th from 3 to 9pm at Christiansen Lake Park.

  • Triple Black Diamonds

    Mountain High Pizza Pie

    The band Triple Black Diamonds perform as part of a campaign to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis on Saturday, June 27th starting at 7pm at Mountain High Pizza in Talkeetna. You can learn more about their campaign with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society online.

  • Roustabout Circus Show – Denali Arts Council

    Denali Arts Council host a Roustabout Show on Sunday, June 28th at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar.
    The 2026 Green Light Circus instructors will showcase their talents for the public. Doors open at 2:30 and the show will begin at 3:00pm. Donations are welcome.

    The jazz assemble Inside Out performs at the Talkeetna Alaska Lodge in Talkeetna on Sunday, June 28th at 7pm. This performance features Rocco Iacovone on the sax, Jason Ajemian on the bass, and Jack De Salvo on electric guitar.

    Professional teaching artist, Denise Iacovone is offering 3 art workshops this summer at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar.
    The first is a Contour Line Drawing Workshop. Participants will learn how to work in contour line, creating multiple experimental drawings in a studio setting. This two-day workshop is on Friday, June 26th, and Monday, June 29th.

    The Talkeetna Public Library hosts a weekly afterschool program called Reading Tuesdays. Students are welcome to come and read, work on homework or a craft, and spend time with friends from 3:15 until 5pm every Tuesday. Sunshine Transit is available to transport students from the Talkeetna Elementary School. Permission slips are required.   • Improvisational Painting and Music, Art Workshop – Denali Arts Council

    Professional teaching artist, Denise Iacovone /E-ya-ka-vone-ay/ is offering art workshops this summer at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar.
    The second workshop is Improvisational Painting and Music: Making the Invisible Visible. Participants will learn to listen to, identify, and express live music using watercolors and colored pencils. They will strive to capture the essence of the music as they work with the Talkeetna Jazz Orchestra during dress rehearsal and their concert performance. Two-Day Workshop is on July 1, 4:30 pm- 7:30 pm and July 2, 6 pm- 9 pm.

    The Talkeetna Public Library hosts the Summer Reading Program weekly on Thursdays at 11am.  This week features world famous Robbie the Magician who will entertain all with magic illusions, including birds and rabbits. Lunch on the Lawn starts at noon and will be followed by the 13 Annual Patriotic Cookie Dash.     Denali Arts Council presents a jazz performance featuring Maestro Rocco John Iacovone /E-ya-ka-vone-ay/ and local Jazz Workshop participates on Thursday, July 2nd at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar.
