    Here’s what’s coming up at the Willow Public Library:

    • Willow Library Mentoring Program meets each Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:30pm. This program is open to all Willow Elementary Students. Additional mentors are needed.
    • Story Time followed by free play in the Community Center is on Thursdays at 11am. This is geared toward ages 0-5, but all are welcome.

    Sunshine Community Health Center hosts an Addiction Recovery Group at the Talkeetna Clinic from 1 to 2 PM every second and fourth Thursday of the month. This program is open to adults seeking support in their recovery journey, it provides education, peer support, and therapeutic tools for individuals navigating addiction.     Denali Arts Council is hosting a Jazz Workshop with Maestro Rocco John Iacovone at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. This is an opportunity for anyone who loves playing music to learn to listen, respond, and collaborate with other jazz players. This two week workshop will meet June 23, 24, 26, 30, July 2 and 3, from 5-7pm. There will be a performance on Saturday, July 5 at 7:00pm. Registration is available on denaliartscouncil.org.     The Willow Health Organization hosts the Willow Farmers Market, an outdoor market at the Willow Community Center on Fridays from 2 until 7pm. This local market highlights items grown or made in Alaska. September 5th is the last day of the season.

    Denali Arts Council hosts a night of music with professional actress and theater director, Kaitlin Lawrence, on Saturday, June 28th at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Kaitlin’s performance includes a setlist ranging from show tunes to Bonnie Raitt and original songs, with a splash of Broadway flair. Doors open at 6:30pm, the show starts at 7.

    The Upper Susitna Community & Senior Center requires memberships to be paid by the end of June to be able to vote in upcoming elections. Members who pay their membership after that date will have no voting rights. For any questions, call at 907-733-6200.
