Multi Users of Talkeetna Trails (MUTT) meeting
Denali Brew PubMulti Users of Talkeetna Trails (MUTT) is having a volunteer meeting on Monday, October 13th at 5:30pm in the Beer Hall at the Denali Brew Pub, downtown to discuss the upcoming Dry Land Fun Race. The Dryland Fun Race is scheduled for Saturday October 18th at 11am in Talkeetna Lakes Park. The event offers human-powered and dog-powered races for distances of 5km and 8km for all ages . Arctic Entries storytellers needed
Denali Arts Council is looking for storytellers for the January and April Arctic Entries shows. January's theme is Going Once, Going Twice: Stories of putting yourself on the line, unexpected wins, and near misses. Donated items needed for Western Alaska
The devastation of Typhoon Halong hitting Western Alaska last weekend has created a need for warm clothing for children, babies, men and women, all sizes, socks, shoes and boots. Towels and blankets. Non perishable food items, personal hygiene items, and maybe some things for the children as well. Totes and boxes are also needed. Items may be dropped off at KTNA through Saturday. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Denali Drama and the Music Academy presents the musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Friday and Saturday October 24th, and 25th. Winner of the Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, this hilarious musical follows six contestants in a spelling competition. The doors open at 6:30 and the show begins at 7pm.
