This program is aimed at improving strength, balance and flexibility for women over 40 years old. Newcomers are always welcome, weights and instructions are provided. They will reopen on Friday, November 29th at regular hours - 11am until 6pm. The wifi is on 24/7 and can be accessed from the parking lot and picnic tables, the password info is on the front door. The staff wish all a wonderful Thanksgiving and hope you get a chance to read a good book.

Teens’ Book to Movie Program – Talkeetna Public Library
Talkeetna Public Library TalkeetnaTalkeetna Public Library hosts their Teens’ Book to Movie Program, on Saturday, November 29th from 6 to 8pm. They will be showing The Giver - a movie is based on the novel by Lois Lowry. There will be a snack and discussion of the movie and book. 2026 Parking Passes Available -Talkeetna Public Library
Talkeetna Public Library TalkeetnaTrailhead Parking and Remote Property Owners parking passes for 2026 are available at the Talkeetna Public Library during open hours, Monday through Saturday 11am to 6pm. You will need to bring your ID for the trailhead pass, and also your insurance paperwork for your vehicles for the Remote Property Owner pass. The library only accepts cash or checks for payment. If you need to pay with a credit or debit card, the librarians can help you online at matsu.gov.

Winter Plein Air Painting class – Denali Arts Council
Sheldon Community Arts HangarWatercolorist, Miles Bloomfield, is instructing a series of Winter Plein Air Painting classes. Classes are from 1 to 4pm at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar each Tuesday in the month of January. This is an outdoor painting class, so participants should dress for the weather. If temperatures are too cold, the class will be held indoors. All supplies are provided. Sign up is available at denaliartscouncil.org. Drop-ins are welcome if space allows.
