    Talkeetna Public Library hosts the next Tween Page to Screen program on Saturday, December 13th. This month will feature the book, The Seeker, by Susan Cooper. Tweens ages 9 to 12 will enjoy snacks, discuss the book and watch the movie. The program is from 5 to 7pm. Next months selection is, Holes, by Luis Sachar and will be handed out after the movie.

    Denali Arts Council hosts a Matinee of the performance, Laughing All the Way to the Brink, at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Sunday, December 14th. This theatrical event is part of the Climate Theater Festival and will feature seven short plays by playwrights from around the world. While climate change is very serious, most of these plays are very not. Doors open at 2:30, and the performance is at 3pm.     KTNA is now accepting submissions for the upcoming Album Cover Art Recreation Contest. To participate, choose an album cover and use your imagination and creativity to recreate it. Any art style is accepted - you could dress up and take a picture, draw it, or photoshop it. Submit your recreation to supportKTNA@ktna.org by December 15th. The Album Cover Art Show will hang at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar for the month of January, voting is on January 17th during KTNA's Annual Celebration.     Watercolorist Miles Bloomfield is instructing a series of Winter Plein Air Painting classes. Classes are from 1 to 4pm at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on most Tuesdays, through January. This is an outdoor painting class, so participants should dress for the weather. If temperatures are too cold, the class will be held indoors. All supplies are provided.     Denali Arts Council hosts Holiday in Whoville's Interactive Dramatic Reading of the Grinch Stories at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Friday and Saturday, December 19th and 20th. Attendees are welcome to come dressed in their Whoville best. They are also welcome to bring an ornament to add to the tree, or arrive early to make one - craft supplies will be available.
