AARP Foundation’s Tax-Aide program – Appointments available

AARP Tax Assistance appointments

Helena Ave. / Mile 98.5 Parks Hwy., Sunshine, AlaskaAARP (American Association of Retired Persons) tax representatives are available to assist local residents on completing their 2024 taxes. They will be at the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center from 10am until 4pm every other Wednesday, until April 9th. Assistance is by appointment only, you can schedule by calling 211 or (800) 478-2221 or visit taxappointment.aarp.org. Available dates are: February 26th, March 12th, March 26th, and April 9th. Appointments are available on alternative Wednesdays at Houston City Hall.

Talkeetna Main Street Rehabilitation – D&S Road Services
D&S Road Services is rehabilitating Main Street in Talkeetna beginning today (Thursday, March 27th). They ask that all vehicles and obstacles remain removed from Main Street for the duration of this project. The work is expected to be completed by 5pm (on Thursday).
