Strong Women Exercise Group – Talkeetna Public Library
Talkeetna Public Library TalkeetnaStrong Women exercise group meet at 10 am at the Talkeetna Public Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A Zoom option is available. This program is aimed at improving strength, balance and flexibility for women over 40 years old. Newcomers are always welcome, weights and instructions are provided. Talkeetna Library is open 11am to 6pm, but the door is opened early for Strong Women.

Talkeetna-Trapper Creek Birdathon
The 35th annual Talkeetna-Trapper Creek Birdathon begins on Friday, May 2nd, at 6 pm and continues until 6 pm on Saturday, May 3rd. Area residents and their guests are welcome to participate by identifying as many species of birds as can be found in the count circle during the 24 hour period. You can go birding by yourself or with family or friends, traveling “green” or using a vehicle. Participants gather around a fire in the evening on Saturday. The gathering will be on the gravel bar near the corner of Third and B Street, past the Talkeetna Inn. If you have questions, leave a message for Jeff or Deb at 907 733-2066.
