Talkeetna Public Library TalkeetnaThe Talkeetna Public Library is closed for staff training on Wednesday, July 23rd. They are normally open Monday through Saturday from 11am until 6pm. Talkeetna Library's Wi-Fi is always on and available to use.

Willow Public LibraryHere’s what’s coming up at the Willow Public Library:
- Willow Library Mentoring Program meets each Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:30pm. This program is open to all Willow Elementary Students. Additional mentors are needed.
- Story Time followed by free play in the Community Center is on Thursdays at 11am. This is geared toward ages 0-5, but all are welcome.

Summer Reading Program – Talkeetna Public Library
Talkeetna Public Library TalkeetnaThe Talkeetna Public Library's Summer Reading Program is on Thursdays
- Today the Summer Reading Program begins at 1pm. This week’s theme is Fairy Houses and Woodland Dwellings. Also, the library is creating a rock snake named William Snakespeare. Supplies for rock painting are available to use in the building or to borrow to make a snake segment at home. Bring your segments in to get varnished and added to the sculpture.
- Weekly meal backpacks, provided by Upper Susitna Food Pantry, are available at the front desk on Thursday afternoons until Saturday, or when supplies run out. These backpacks are available for children under 18 years of age to take home.
There are 2 more weeks of activities and reading incentives, all ages are welcome to attend. All reading logs must be turned in by Noon on Thursday, August 7th. For more information, you may call the library at 907-861-7645 and visit their Facebook Page.

Talkeetna Historical Society’s Art Fundraiser
Sheldon Community Arts HangarThe Talkeetna Historical Society hosts their closing event Salmon Run Art Auction at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Sunday, July 27th from 3 to 6pm. Visitors can view all salmon in person that are in the online auction and enjoy some snacks. There will be 4 late-run salmon auctioned off live at the event. Online bidding is open through July 27th at 5 pm. Help will be available at the event to participate in the online auction. Proceeds benefit the Talkeetna Museum.
