    Talkeetna Public Library Talkeetna

    The Talkeetna Public Library is offering support to help people register to vote. The next election is on November 4th, which means you must register by October 5th in order to have your vote count. Help is available at the Talkeetna Library during open hours, 11am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday. Absentee in-person voting will be held at the library beginning October 20 through November 3rd.   • Wild Su Feast – Susitna River Coalition

    The 9th Annual Wild Su Feast is scheduled for Sunday, October 5, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Denali Brewing Company, located at Mile 2 of the Talkeetna Spur Road. The event, hosted by the Susitna River Coalition, features a community potluck and cooking competition with foods that walked, swam, flew, or grew in the Susitna Watershed.   • Talkeetna Community Council Nominations for Board of Directors

    The Talkeetna Community Council Inc. Board of Directions is accepting nominations for 3, two-year term seats to be included on the November 4th ballot. Residents of legal voting age, eligible to vote in MatSu borough elections, and whose primary residence is within the Talkeetna Community Council boundaries are eligible. All nominees must complete a Declaration of Candidacy Form which is available at talkeetnacouncil.org.

    Talkeetna Recycling is seeking new volunteers. They are hosting volunteer training on Tuesday, October 7th, at 11:30am. Training is for both current and new volunteers.     Tuesday, October 7, the Alaska Division of Forestry & Fire Protection is hosting a virtual Public Information Meeting regarding the revision of the Susitna Forestry Guidelines.
