    The Talkeetna Public Library hosts a new afterschool program; The Sizzle & Stir Club beginning on Wednesday, October 1st. This cooking program is open to 4th and 5th graders and homeschool students are welcome. Transportation from Talkeetna Elementary School to the library will be provided by Sunshine Transit.   • From Glacier to Sea: A Journey Down the Susitna – Susitna River Coalition

    The Susitna River Coalition is hosting their first winter speaker event of the season on November 5th at 6PM on Zoom and Facebook Live.
    Researcher and adventurer Chris Dunn presents his 2012 expedition - the first known traverse of the Susitna River, traveling more than 310 miles from its glaciated headwaters in the Alaska Range to Cook Inlet. The expedition documented the river as a connected system from source to sea.

    • Story Time followed by free play in the Community Center is on Thursdays at 11am. This is geared toward ages 0-5, but all are welcome.

    The Denali Nordic Ski Club is holding its annual membership and election meeting on Thursday, November 6th from 5 to 7:30 pm at the Sheldon Community Arts Hanger. They are kicking off the ski season with food, drinks, and updates on what's ahead this year. There will be a board member election, membership renewal and information on upcoming volunteer opportunities. All are welcome.  Attendees can bring gear for an opportunity to buy/sell/swap ski gear.     Upper Susitna Seniors Inc. is hosting a Holiday Bazaar at the Center on Saturday, November 8th from 10am to 4pm. There will be local artisans selling their goods and  homemade soup for sale. The Homemakers will be selling raffle tickets for their annual quilt raffle to raise money for high school student scholarships.
