    Here’s what’s coming up at the Willow Public Library:

    • Willow Library Mentoring Program meets each Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:30pm. This program is open to all Willow Elementary Students. Additional mentors are needed.
    • Story Time followed by free play in the Community Center is on Thursdays at 11am. This is geared toward ages 0-5, but all are welcome.

  • Denali Nordic Ski Club Annual Meeting and Board Member Election

    The Denali Nordic Ski Club is holding its annual membership and election meeting on Thursday, November 6th from 5 to 7:30 pm at the Sheldon Community Arts Hanger. They are kicking off the ski season with food, drinks, and updates on what's ahead this year. There will be a board member election, membership renewal and information on upcoming volunteer opportunities. All are welcome.  Attendees can bring gear for an opportunity to buy/sell/swap ski gear.   • Holiday Bazaar – Upper Susitna Seniors

    Upper Susitna Seniors Inc. is hosting a Holiday Bazaar at the Center on Saturday, November 8th from 10am to 4pm. There will be local artisans selling their goods and  homemade soup for sale. The Homemakers will be selling raffle tickets for their annual quilt raffle to raise money for high school student scholarships.

    The Talkeetna Public Library hosts a new afterschool program; The Sizzle & Stir Club beginning on Wednesday, October 1st. This cooking program is open to 4th and 5th graders and homeschool students are welcome. Transportation from Talkeetna Elementary School to the library will be provided by Sunshine Transit. With vocals in Spanish, English and Portuguese, this family friendly group is melding high-energy funk, African and Latin grooves with instrumental solos, aimed at sharing musical and cultural diversity with the audience.
