    KTNA is now accepting submissions for the upcoming Album Cover Art Recreation Contest. To participate, choose an album cover and use your imagination and creativity to recreate it. Any art style is accepted - you could dress up and take a picture, draw it, or photoshop it. Submit your recreation to supportKTNA@ktna.org by December 15th. The Album Cover Art Show will hang at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar for the month of January, voting is on January 17th during KTNA's Annual Celebration.     Strong Women Exercise Group – Talkeetna Public Library

    Winter Plein Air Painting class – Denali Arts Council

    Watercolorist Miles Bloomfield is instructing a series of Winter Plein Air Painting classes. Classes are from 1 to 4pm at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on most Tuesdays, through January. This is an outdoor painting class, so participants should dress for the weather. If temperatures are too cold, the class will be held indoors. All supplies are provided. Sign up is available at denaliartscouncil.org. Drop-ins are welcome if space allows.

    Holiday in Whoville Interactive Dramatic Reading – Denali Arts Council

    Denali Arts Council hosts Holiday in Whoville's Interactive Dramatic Reading of the Grinch Stories at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Friday and Saturday, December 19th and 20th. Attendees are welcome to come dressed in their Whoville best. They are also welcome to bring an ornament to add to the tree, or arrive early to make one - craft supplies will be available.     Ice Carving Workshops – Denali Arts Council

    Registration is now open for the Ice Carving Workshops, taught by Tommy Salami. There will be an adult and youth workshop on Saturday, January 3rd outside the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Tommy will instruct participants on carving techniques on 10lb blocks of ice. This is a great way to learn how to carve before the Ice Carving Competition.
