    KTNA's Annual Decadent Dessert Auction is this week! Tune in daily as we auction off delicious, locally-crafted works of art. The live, on-air auctions are held at 2pm and 8pm Monday through Thursday. On Friday we are hosting on-air auctions at 1 pm and 2pm. Then our finale is during a Decadent Dessert skit at the Complexities of Love variety show at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Friday and Saturday evenings.   • 16th Annual Crowley Classic – Susitna Valley High School

  • Love on the Loops relay race

    Multi Users of Talkeetna Trails (MUTT) and Denali Nordic Ski Club are hosting Love on the Loops, a combined human and dog powered relay race. The event is at Talkeetna Lakes Park off Comsat Rd. on February 14th, at noon, starting on X lake. Each relay loop is around 5 km and bib pick up is 11:20 am.     Denali Nordic Ski Club hosts a Learn How to Wax Your Skis clinic on Sunday, February 15th from 3 to 6 pm at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Attendees may bring skate or classic skis, one pair per person. The clinic will host 1 hour of instruction and discussion about types of skis for different uses, followed by 2 hours of participants waxing their own skis. Snacks and beverages will be provided.     Volunteers with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program will be available to help community members with preparing and filing income taxes. Preparation will happen on Wednesdays, beginning February 4th, alternating each week between the Houston City Hall and the Upper Susitna Community & Senior Center.
