The 2025 Susitna Valley High School Graduation Ceremony is on Wednesday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Livestream will be available; the link will be posted on the Susitna Valley Jr/Sr High website before the ceremony begins.

The Willow Summer Trails challenge begins May 16, and ends September 26th. Passports with listed Willow community trail descriptions are available at the Willow Library. Participants will document their hike with selfies. A culminating event to award prizes will be held on September 27th. This event is a partnership between the Willow Trails Committee and the Willow Library. Questions may be addressed to the Library staff at 907-861-7655.

The Upper Susitna Community & Senior Center hosts an indoor yard sale on Saturday, May 17th from 10am until 4pm.

Denali Arts Council hosts this year’s Fly Fishing Film Tour at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Saturday, May 17th. This lineup of films captures the spirit of adventure and perseverance in the world of fly fishing. Doors open at 6:30pm and the film starts at 7pm. Trapper Creek Community Services Association hosts their meeting on Tuesday, May 20th at 6pm at the Trapper Creek Community Center. The Talkeetna Cemetery Board is meeting Thursday, May 22nd at 6pm at the Talkeetna Public Library. All are welcome. They are looking for a volunteer to help with maintenance as well as input for a potential website.

Talkeetna Recycling is holding a training for cardboard processing on Friday, May 23rd at 1:30 at the baler building at the Transfer Site. Everyone is welcome to attend. Recycling is very much in need of additional volunteers for both regular recycling and cardboard processing. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Denali Arts Council and Talkeetna Chamber of Commerce host Live at Five, a family friendly music event at the Talkeetna Village Park, on Fridays at 5pm, rain or shine. The series starts May 23rd and the band is Nothin' But Trouble.

The Willow Public Library 9th Annual 5K Fun Walk & Run is on Saturday, May 24 at 10am, starting in the Library parking lot. Registration forms are available at the Library or you may register starting at 9am on race day. There is a participation fee, and tee shirts are available for participants. There is a clean up day at the Talkeetna Cemetery on Saturday, May 24th starting at 10am. All are welcome.
