Scholarship opportunity – Sunshine Community Health Center
Sunshine Community Health Center (SCHC) Student Scholarship Program supports high school seniors pursuing degrees or certificates in health care, behavioral health, and social services by awarding scholarships of up to $2,500. These scholarships recognize students who have demonstrated leadership, community involvement, and a dedication to wellness, helping to build a stronger health workforce in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley and beyond.
The application period is open and the deadline is May 1st. Eligible students must reside in zip codes 99676, 99688, or 99683.The link to apply is in the announcement on ktna.org.

Talkeetna Historical Society seeking artists
Talkeetna MuseumThe Talkeetna Historical Society is seeking artists to decorate wooden salmon cutouts for their upcoming Salmon Run Art Auction fundraiser. The completed artwork is due by June 15th. Those who are interested may stop by the museum between 11am and 5pm on Fridays and Saturdays or call Autumn at (907)304-0321 to coordinate a pickup time.
