    The Jack MacDonald Ice Rink at Talkeetna Elementary is closed for painting and ice maintenance through Wednesday, November 27th. It will reopen and be ready for skating beginning on Thursday, November 28th.

  • Talkeetna Bachelor Society funding deadline

    The Talkeetna Bachelor Society is accepting letters of requests for funding from non-profit organizations and community programs that will benefit women and children in the Talkeetna area. The request should describe your program needs and the amount being requested. Letters can be mailed to: Talkeetna Bachelor Society, P.O. Box 1063, Talkeetna, AK 99676 or emailed to: tkabachelors@gmail.com. The deadline for requests is December 10th.

This years musical guests are pop/folk singer Matt the Electrician out of Austin Texas, Juneau based singer songwriter Marian Call, and local Ben Heller. The show starts at 7pm at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar.

    The Denali Nordic Ski Club is looking to hire a club coordinator, with training starting this winter/spring. Must be organized, competent with technology including Zoom, WordPress, and Google Docs, and able to attend most of the club meetings held once a month.     Talkeetna Elementary PTA hosts their annual Holiday Souper Skate at the Talkeetna Elementary Jack MacDonald Ice Rink on Thursday, December 19th from 5 to 7pm.
