Today is the last Timber Tots for the season. This toddler and preschool program that employs storytelling, play, and art, begins at 10am on August 7th, at Denali Education Center in Talkeetna. This free program is for ages 2 through 5, children must be accompanied by an adult. Older siblings are welcome.

Saturday, August 10th is a Youth Artist Showcase featuring participants from the Upper Susitna Valley Fine Arts Camp, Youth Jam Night, and Stage Lights programs. Absentee Voting for the Primary Election begins on Monday, August 5th.  Voting can be done at the Talkeetna Library from 11am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday, until Monday, August 19th.

Talkeetna Historical Society hosts The Salmon Run, an artistic fundraiser for the Talkeetna Museum. Wooden salmon cut-outs are now available for participants to purchase, decorate, and name. Completed salmon must be returned to the museum by August 15th. The salmon will then be entered into a silent auction at Live at Five on August 23rd. ...
