    Sheldon Community Arts Hangar

    Denali Arts Council is hosting Arctic Entries at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Saturday, January 24th. Seven local storytellers tell true 7-minute stories on the theme of Going Once, Going Twice: Stories of putting yourself on the line, unexpected wins, and near misses.   • Winter Speaker Series Event – Susitna River Coalition

    The Susitna River Coalition is hosting a live virtual event in their Winter Speaker Series on Thursday, January 29th at 6:30 PM, streaming on Zoom and Facebook Live. The topic is Alaska's Energy Landscape: past, present and future. Presenters are Doug Johnson of ORPC Alaska on the topic of emerging renewable energy technologies, followed by Dr. Philip Wight of UAF, exploring the history of electrification in Alaska’s Railbelt—and how past decisions still shape the future of Alaskans.

    MUTT (Multi Users of Talkeetna Trails) is hosting the 3rd Annual Rich Crain Classic on January 31st at the Comsat trailhead of Talkeetna Lakes Park, beginning at 11am.
