Denali Arts Council is holding open auditions for a musical comedy show called the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on August 18th at 7pm at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Be prepared by knowing your vocal range, prepared to sing at least 10-12 bars of any song, to do a bit of dramatic reading or improv. Must be available to rehearse during September & October. The Willow Clinic is closed today due to a broken water main. Staff are working to fix the issue and will reopen the clinic as soon as possible. Sunshine Community Health Center apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks the community for their patience.

The Friends of the Talkeetna Library, in collaboration with the Denali Arts Council, host an outside concert for kids called Swing makes you Sing with the Svetlana Jazz Band. That's at the Talkeetna Public Library on Saturday, August 23rd at 10am. All are welcome.

Denali Education Center hosts Mushrooms of Alaska, a talk and foray presented by Kate Mohatt and Noah Siegel exploring the wide variety of mushrooms native to the region.
