    Talkeetna Public Library hosts various programs through the fall and winter. Storytime is at 11:15am on Thursdays with a snack, stories and a craft, beginning on August 14th. The theme this week is Off to School with a special prize for all attendees.

  • Auditions for a musical comedy show- Denali Arts Council

    Denali Arts Council is holding open auditions for a musical comedy show called the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee on August 18th at 7pm at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar. Be prepared by knowing your vocal range, prepared to sing at least 10-12 bars of any song, to do a bit of dramatic reading or improv. Must be available to rehearse during September & October.     Alaska Center for Resource Families is hosting informational sessions about adoption via Zoom.

    Building families through adoption aims to prepare potential adoptive parents for the realities and joys of adoption. All potential adoptive parents are welcome but it is particularly valuable for persons wanting to adopt from Alaska’s foster care system.

    All classes are held from 10 am to 12 pm. on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning September 2nd and ending the 16th.
