    Talkeetna Library hosts the Teen Page to Screen book club on Saturday, February 28th at 6pm. They are discussing the book; The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness and watching the movie based on this book; Chaos Walking. Snacks and treats will be served.   • Strong Women Exercise Group – Talkeetna Public Library

    Strong Women exercise group meet at 10 am at the Talkeetna Public Library on Tuesdays and Thursdays. A Zoom option is available. This program is aimed at improving strength, balance and flexibility for women over 40 years old. Newcomers are always welcome, weights and instructions are provided.   • Radio Journalism Afterschool Club

    Su Valley Jr/Sr High School

    KTNA and Su Valley High School are collaborating to start a Radio Journalism Afterschool Club for the remainder of the school year. This Club is open to all Su Valley students, from middle to high school level. The Club will meet every Wednesday from 3:15-4:15pm at Su Valley High School beginning March 4th.     Be A Part of the Conversation is a monthly book club open to the public to discuss challenged books in the Mat-Su Borough. It meets on the second Tuesday of each month at Conscious Coffee. This month's meeting is on Tuesday, March 10th at 6 pm. They will be discussing the book Death in the Jungle by Candace Fleming. All are welcome.   • Spring Break at the Library – Talkeetna Public Library

    Talkeetna Public Library is holding day-long events during Spring Break through March14th.

    Today is Taco Thursday. All are welcome to come and make- and eat- tacos until 5pm, or until the supplies run out.
    Friday is Cribbage Day. You can learn how to play cribbage- and checkers- at the Talkeetna Library. In addition, there are jigsaw puzzles to attempt or to take home.
    Saturday, 3/14 is Pi Day - Pi is a mathematical term but the Talkeetna Library will not be solving geometry problems, they will be serving Pie from 11am to 5pm, or until the pie runs out.

  • Bon Debarras Concert – Denali Arts Council

    The Denali Arts Council presents the musical group Bon Débarras at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Wednesday, March 11th. This Montreal Trio fuses folk music from Quebec, traditional step-dancing, and global influences for a show that is fun and full of energy. Doors open at 6:30pm and the music starts at 7pm.   • Krew Fewd 2 – Live Game Show Fundraiser & Art Auction – Talkeenta Skatepark Committee

    The Talkeenta Skatepark Committee presents Krew Fewd 2 a Live Game Show Fundraiser and Art Auction on Thursday, March 12th at the Sheldon Arts Hangar. Attendees are able to bid on skateboards designed by local artists beginning at 6pm and then watch the Family-Feud style game show play out live at 7pm. Donations are appreciated, all proceeds will go towards building the Talkeetna Skatepark.
