Todays Announcements

KTNA maintains an online announcement and classified page to help keep our listeners informed. Announcements are mainly for nonprofits. Classifieds are for nonprofits as well as individual needs. The KTNA Community Calendar includes all announcements plus additional community events happening at local businesses.

There are three ways you can submit Announcements, Classifieds and events for the Community Calendar: through our online form, via email at info@ktna.org or by calling 907-733-1700.

This week on Su Valley Voice we’re revisiting our episode from last Fall in which we discussed our area rivers with those who live, work and play on them. Susitna River Coalition will also be live in the studio to introduce listeners to their new 2 year community-driven collaboration with the Environmental Protection Agency. The resulting Susitna Watershed Plan will aim to make planning efforts accessible and understandable to the public. Su Valley Voice aired live this morning and rebroadcasts at 7pm.

This week on the Alaska Fisheries Report Katherine Irving of KMXT tells of the dampening effect of high fuel prices on the fishing industry, plus KCAW’s Hope McKenney reports on the intersection of spawning herring and grey whales in Sitka Sound.
