Coming up on KTNA
The topic on Talk of Alaska this week is the new Federal funds for rural healthcare.
Alaska’s rural health clinics and hospitals are set to receive more than a billion federal dollars over the next 5 years. The funds are from the Rural Health Transformation program that was included in President Trump’s signature tax reduction legislation that also cut Medicaid. How will this massive inflow of health funds be used and will Medicaid cuts still create barriers for access to care for rural Alaskans? Healthcare system leaders lead the discussion on the next Talk of Alaska, airing live on KTNA Tuesday at 10am and repeating at 7pm.
KTNA’s transmitter will be turned off Tuesday, January 27th for some maintenance. The work will take an hour or two and occur between 10am and noon. During this time period, we will be off air, but you can listen to the stream on ktna.org.
