An aircraft operated by K2 Aviation made a forced landing for unknown reasons outside of Talkeetna on Wednesday Evening.

The Federal Aviation Administration confirms that a Dehaviland Beaver Fixed Wing was safely landed on a Chulitna sandbar 5 Miles from Talkeetna. In a statement, K2 Aviation said the pilot did an excellent job in landing the plane safely.

It is unkown at this time the cause for the landing, or what damages might have been incurred.
