On July 14th, at approximately 3 in the afternoon hours, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a CPR in progress in the downtown Talkeetna area. The victim, Betty B. Spaid, age 74, of Metter, Georgia, had collapsed and could not be resuscitated. Investigation revealed no signs of foul play and next of kin was notified. The State Medical Examiner’s Office was notified and Alaska Heritage Mortuary Service responded for final services.
