Senator Mike Dunleavy began work in Juneau this week, after being elected to the State Senate in November. As the former Board President for the Matanuska Susitna School District Board of Education, Senator Dunleavy has been named vice-chair to the Senate’s Education Committee. Senator Dunleavy says the work is just beginning in the legislative session.
He’s been named Chair of the Labor and Commerce committee, Chair of three Senate Finance Subcommittees, which are the Early Child Development, the Fish and Game, and the Environmental Conservation Finance Subcommittees. Senator Dunleavy is also member of the Senate Legislative Budget and Audit committee, Senate Finance, and Senate committee on World Trade.
