Troopers respond to eight theft reports in Willow last week

On Sunday, the Alaska State Troopers released reports of thefts spanning the last week in Willow and Caswell.

The first report came in on the afternoon of September 30th. Troopers say someone siphoned fuel from multiple aircraft at the Willow airport in addition to damaging aircraft and stealing items from inside of them. It was later discovered that a pickup truck had also been stolen from the airport. The truck was reported stolen on Wednesday and recovered from a residence in Big Lake on Saturday.

Last Tuesday, Troopers investigated a burglary on Denali View Drive in Willow. Two ATVs, a trailer, and a boat were reported stolen from the residence. One of the ATVs was later found in the area.

Multiple other theft incidents were reported in the Caswell area. There were two burglaries on Dolly Varden Drive, reported on Thursday and Friday. Multiple items were reported stolen in each incident. Also on Friday, Troopers investigated the attempted theft of a motor home on Brokealine Drive and the theft of multiple security cameras on Bald Eagle Way.

Troopers ask that anyone with information about the thefts contact the post at 352-5401 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.
