Mat-Su Borough Clerk Lonnie McKechnie (Mick-KECK-nee) confirmed that Hillary Palmer is approved as a write-in candidate for Mayor in this year’s Borough election.
Palmer submitted candidate paperwork before the filing deadline. But was unaware of the additional state financial disclosure paperwork needed to complete the process. Palmer was removed from the ballot, leaving current Mayor Edna DeVries (Duh-VREEZ) uncontested.
Palmer filed the additional paperwork on September 5th. She is now approved as a write-in Mayoral candidate for the November 5th election.
