Talkeetna Elementary School is hosting an online silent auction fundraiser to benefit 4th and 5th grade educational field trips to Kachemak Bay in Homer and to Denali National Park. Talkeetna Public Library hosts the next Tween Page to Screen program on Saturday, December 13th. This month will feature the book, The Seeker, by Susan Cooper. Tweens ages 9 to 12 will enjoy snacks, discuss the book and watch the movie. The program is from 5 to 7pm. Next months selection is, Holes, by Luis Sachar and will be handed out after the movie.
