Holiday Closures
MatSu Borough Libraries will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 25th including Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, Willow, and Big Lake.

Memorial Day Service honoring Veterans
Talkeetna CemeteryThe Myron F (Ace) Ebling Memorial VFW Post and Auxiliary # 3836 is hosting a Memorial Day Service honoring Veterans who served in US armed forces. The service is on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th at 11:00am at the Talkeetna Cemetery. A pot-luck will follow at the VFW Post on Veteran’s Way immediately after the service. All are welcome.

Summer Reading Program – Talkeetna Public Library
Talkeetna Public Library TalkeetnaRegistration opens for the Summer Reading Program on Tuesday, May 26th at Talkeetna Public Library. Bags with supplies and logs will be handed out. The first weekly program is on Thursday, May 28th at 11:00am for all ages. Please note that this is earlier than the usual Storytime slot. For more information, call 907-861-7645.

Live at Five
Talkeetna Village ParkThe Denali Arts Council and the Talkeetna Chamber of Commerce host Live at Five, an annual Summer Concert series beginning this Friday, May 17th. The weekly concerts are family-friendly and are every Friday from 5-7 pm at the Talkeetna Village Park. The concerts feature bands from Alaska and the lower 48. Pick-Up Basketball – Community Enrichment – Talkeetna Elementary PTA
Talkeetna Elementary SchoolTalkeetna Elementary PTA hosts Pick-Up Basketball for teens and adults, 6th grade and up, at Talkeetna Elementary School's gym on Sundays from 6-8 pm.
