    The Talkeetna Public Library hosts a new afterschool program; The Sizzle & Stir Club beginning on Wednesday, October 1st. This cooking program is open to 4th and 5th graders and homeschool students are welcome. Transportation from Talkeetna Elementary School to the library will be provided by Sunshine Transit.   • The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

    Denali Drama and the Music Academy presents the musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Sheldon Community Arts Hangar on Friday and Saturday October 24th, and 25th. Winner of the Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, this hilarious musical follows six contestants in a spelling competition. The doors open at 6:30 and the show begins at 7pm. This performance is rated PG-13. Tickets available at denaliartscouncil.org.
